How do you guys do it? I feel like something is going to break every time I let it just drop shut. Then I hate bringing it down and pushing to shut leaving finger prints.

You arent going to break it, unless you are trying. Mine weighs more than stock, due to the aftermarket wing, and I just pull it down and let it slam shut on it's own. Its metal, with a plastic cover over the electrical components.

Gotcha, no definitely not trying to break anything on purpose. But I am OCD so some of y’all know how that goes.

i do feel like overtime the taillights could crack...but again, I am ocd.

I use the handle on the inside to avoid fingerprints and a decent bit of force. Never felt like something was going to break.

Do you guys know if 2016 AMG GTS models come with kick start hatch opener? pretty sure not the right word,,,, but where you kick underneath the center of the rear license plate and it will crack open the hatch?

I've tried alot but couldn't get it UNTIL my buddy tried and it WORKED! I had a key inside my pocket standing about arm length away. But I'm having a hard time getting it.

So I was wondering if you guys tried that yet or if GTS have that as an option

I believe that they all do, unless you have the carbon diffuser. It took me a bit of practice initially, but you can't just put your leg under the license plate, you have to make a legitimate kicking motion at the plate for it to pop the hatch.

I drop mine at about 2 inches height, it's enough to close it without banging.
