Prior to the virus hubby and I would go on LOTS of trips. Many would involve rental cars. Being an owner of the GTC and a Maybach many rental cars are NOT fun at all. ONE does stand out as being fun to drive. We had a Ford f150 with the big eco boost engine and dam that was one hell of a fun to drive truck. The engine was a blast, lots of power! The truck did not drive as nice as the new Ram but crap I think I love that engine even more than the Ram hemi engine.
My car has been sold, talk about depreciation on trade in value...
My original retail window sticker was $155,000.00, trade in value was $70,000.00 with only 14,000 miles.
I have my Tuned ECU for sale if anyone with a GTS is looking for an easy no tell solution when going for service at the dealer.
Years ago I bought a 2011 E63, new and configured. Then I decided to get the newly designed CLS a couple of months later. I paid a little over 92K. I owned the car for 206 days, put over 7K miles on it and when I traded it I got 88K in trade value towards the new CLS......I thought that was a pretty good trade in value too.

Nah, I decided on something I could pull into a rough dirt turnout or take down a dirt road if I want to take a few photos and not worry about ripping off the front of my car.
There have been so many wrecks and fatalities in the canyons since the plague started that I've kinda lost the need for speed..
Not to say I replaced the GTS with a slow car..
AMG GLC 63s coupe...with all the bells and whistles... Now my wagon has a baby brother

I’m very sorry for your loss in value. Unfortunately the timing was not the most optimum for you.
You had your own personal reasons for wanting to trade now. But with the COVID going on, all of the dealer auctions shut down which removed any real measure of actual current market value.
Dealers had resort to other methods for trade values and then deducted 5% more so they could ensure a profit within their margins on the subsequent resale.
In your case, I am betting the first dealer asking price for your pristine ride will be $78k with a low of $75k. Still a good deal on a great car.
Your new ride is gorgeous and I am hoping you got a very good deal on the buy side and your difference was digestable.

But I'm fine with the deal I got so no worries and the C hauls some serious butt.
Now comes the hard part, to try and not **** more money away on tunes and carbon fiber bits that have zero value when you sell.
As a matter of fact if you have aftermarket wheels no matter what they cost you will loose even more value when trading in.
These are great cars but if you don't drive the crap out of them you are wasting your money.
