It’s hard to believe that my four years are up in November. I reached out for some Fidelity numbers and here they are for reference. I’m leaning towards 7/70 year gold. How did you end up connecting with that dealer? My warranty ends in January so I started doing some research and unfortunately many providers will not issue coverage in CA and a few that do will not cover AMG. However I have not tried Fidelity yet.

Fidelity is one of best all around warranty companies. I’ve also heard that GEICO offers car warranties in certain states. I’ve always had good experiences with Geico in my practice.

Thanks for sharing as mine is getting out of warranty at the end of the year. I assume the mileage is on top of the current mileage you start with. Seems like gold is the way to go . Why are you considering 7 years? Are you planning to keep it that long lol?

Yeah, the mileage is on top of. Also, for those wondering about pricing, the prices are going to differ greatly between individuals with different mileage amounts on their cars, as the mileage at time of purchase is the greatest determining factor for the cost of each plan.
I believe I paid just under $3k for 3yr/36k platinum with $100 deductible.
You USA guys are lucky. Canada Mbenz wants 9k for 2 yrs plus 3rd yr powertrain only. Plus 1k tax
Hmm, that’s not the quote I got. To extend the warranty for 3 more years, bumper to bumper, it’s $7000 CAD plus tax. This must be purchased while the car is in the 4 year comprehensive warranty period. Shop around, you can negotiate. Although this price is before negotiation.
How do these extended warranty companies deal with modifications?
Meaning if my transmission goes out because of 700-800hp...do they even care? or is it like a dealer where common sense dictates they obviously wont cover it?

The Fidelity warranty likely wouldn't cover it, if they can tell via a visual inspection that you have power mods.

This is what I’m thinking. My mechanic had a guy with a blown engine that was tuned and got it covered. Not saying this will work every time but if you have a hand held and can flash back to stock It seems like these companies would have a harder time finding the tune in the ecu than MB would.
As far as turbos go do they look different? I thought you do a core exchange and they change internal components? I guess they could still figure it out if they dig in.
