downpiping gtr exhaust
if i just got my 2020 amg gtr today brand new, should i take it to mechanics to downpipe and change the whole exhaus/cat system and tune it right away? i dont care about horsepower, only loves it when it have more crackles while down shifting or reving. and sound louder. or should i wait for like 5000 km and then do all those kind of ****.

You dont need to wait...
unless you want to enjoy it at current power level and then upgrade when you get bored with the car.
Downpipe and exhaust wont give you much hp but the turbos will spool quicker.

ahh ok, actually my intention was to increase the crackles and loudness of the exhaust, due to all 2020 versions are muted and barley can hear those crackles anymore. horsepower wise. i dont care because in my area there is a lot of cops. so i dont have the guts to speed XD

much of a change in turbo spool improvements with just the secondary cat removal? Hoping to avoid deleting the primaries.

Removing any exhaust restriction helps. But the primary OEM cats are probably still ~700 cell cats. Deleting secondary and putting 200 cell race cats in the primary would probably make a difference.
I'm with ya. I just bought catted downpipes for my other car. Every year I have to chase down my inspection guy and pester him to get my GTS to pass.
