New 2020 software upgrade for my GTC roadster

My AMG dealer updated the software on my 2018 AMG GTC roadster at the recent service.
I have to say the suspension settings have made the car distinctly better in C mode, especially in the rain.
The exhaust roar - particularly the crackle and pops do appear to have come down a bit - but not sure this is just me

Anyone else running the new software?
[Oh and a free map upgrade too!

is the update just for C's? What about R's?

Not very sure to be honest - I suspect it is for GTCs and GTRs given the setup - but can't be sure.

And the exhaust - it's fine!
All the crackle and pops on the overrun are present!

I had the update done on my base gt. I can tell you the engine response seemed to be a lot sharper even in C mode, after the update.
I'm curious what others have to say about this, maybe it's just in my head

I can't find the papers, but I think it was in a form of recall, something about warm up duration reprogramming

So on my GTC, this has noticeably improved suspension settings (presume this is for cars with the AMG Dynamic package) and

Meanwhile, reset my transmission (adaptive blah blah) and it feels like a new car. Must do this every six months.

Checked with my service manager and he did not see any software upgrades for GTR's... didn't check any other model ...

I had an ECU & TCU update done by my
local MB dealer on my GT R recently and can definitely feel the points you guys mentioned above.

Throttle response is better, feels more immediate than before even in C mode.
suspension is noticeably more supple in C mode.

Exhaust sounds exactly the same, no loss in any pops & crackles on the overrun.

I’ve actually ran the car on the dyno in April prior to
the MB ECU& TCU updates and I’ve recently done another run after the updates on the same dyno just to see if they’ve changed anything in regards to power delivery and it’s actually almost identical.

I say almost as I seem to have gained 6whp and 9wtq but that could just be down to weather (7c cooler)

Was 526whp now 533whp

That's awesome man. Was yours an ECU and TCU update or just ECU? Do you have any bulletin numbers / reference numbers you're able to share so I have that info handy when I call the dealership?

Just get your MB dealer to plug the car in and they’d be able to tell you if your GT can have the updates. I was told It’s based on chassis number.

TSBs are different from recalls and may not be tied to VIN

Hey all - any more updates on this 2020 software change? Having acquired my 2019 GTC roadster a bit over a month ago, would love Comfort suspension mode to actually have some better ride quality. My GTC is a bit stiffer in "C" mode than my McLaren 570S was in "Normal" mode (the softest settings on both).

I imagine the service department would have automatically installed this update when I brought the car in for service over the past couple years, no? Or would I ned to specifically bring it up?
