I had a 2018 GTC and now a 2020 GTR. I'm in an area that has fog from time to time.. Last evening I was in fog that had maybe 100' visibility. With low beams on, there was just a mostly white wall in front.. I had looked at the owners manual for "fog lamps" in the past and did again this morning.. There simply is no choice of headlamp function other than low/high beam.. I guess I'm a little bewildered that M/B would spend so much attention to safety and yet delete the fog lamp function from the car.. Even my 58 300SL has fog lamps ! I guess I missed the warning message for not driving a AMG GT product if there is a chance of FOG ! Just park it and wait it out !
I own a 2018 GTC and was surprised there is no fog lamp(s)
Likewise i find my car did not have an automatic high beam headlamp.
It appears to be only manually engaged when appropriate

My car has "adaptive highbeams" - which is what MB calls automatic switching. I have a 2018 GTC. My car automatically switches. This is from the owner's manual.

Can this be turned off? It's too sensitive, I'd rather switch it manually.
Thanks John, I guess I just got used to the excellent lighting and didn't realise it was adaptive
My wife drives a Range Rover which is equipped with the new Laser Light Headlamp unit (it activates only above 50mph, in an Adaptive setting, is designed to exclude opposite drivers, etc) which lights up the road at least 500 mtrs (kid you not!!!) and is crystal sharp. Brilliant and I am sure will be coming to all sensible premium cars soon. ish.

this is switched on and off with the turn signal stock. Normal position and its not active; push the stock forward and it turns it on. That said, I don't think you can activate the 'high beams' (NA slang) without pushing the stock forward, unless you are flush flashing in the moment (pulling the stock towards you in its normal setting).

Download the owner's manual and then you can answer these questions on your own - plus find lots of other good tips. Navigate to 2018 and then find your own model.

I can get the instant on, where you pull it back temporarily. Played with the stalk a little bit recently and couldn't change modes to non-auto. Will look at my manual for details, thought I'd ask since it came up - thanks.
