stand up exaust sound problem
I found out a difference the 2018 gtc convertable wont have the pop sound when it start up. but the 2019 GTC coupe does have a pop sound last for about 2 second when it start. I am curios any one's gtc convertable has the pop sound when start engin. about 2 second the pop sound sound really nice.
I am assuming the 2018 gtc is something wrong. leave comment below please

Not a great way to make friends with your neighbours on a cold winter morning, i will tell you that.
To start the car in Sport/Sport+ mode, it needs to be in that mode when you stop the car previously.
Restart within 4 hours (as I recall) will start the car in the previous mode.
As a general rule, the pops and crackles are only in Sport+ and Race mode (usually above 2500 rpm)
Some of us have after-market cats, downpipes and exhausts that considerably increase this. Not me - still stock as the AMG sound is still pretty amazing!!!!
I will be very surprised if the dealer is able to 'add pops and crackles' - and it is not likely to be an exhaust fault.
Do let us know!!

I am going to dealer to do a recall : (Retrofit Protective grille for additional cooler) on ocat 5 2020 and I will ask them about this question.
my friend told me to change different gasoline to try. i am current getting 94 from CHevron. he told me 94 from chevron is bad. ask me to go to Shell gas station for their 91 is better to see might have better sound !
I am not sure it is the fuel octane rating that delivers the pop but let's find out when you speak to your dealer!
