New to the owners club

Hello,

Just picked up my 2016 GTS last Friday and man what a beast! Never had this much power before. It has a “stage 1” tune making 536/595 to the wheels. Looking at doing catless downpipes and another tune later, can’t imagine more power. Car has the CF package and CCB’s and man this thing can stop! It only has 34k on it and full front PPF, tint, blacked out everything, air box spacer with new filters and a rear fixed wing I’m not sure what it is. Every bolt was hand tight so it flapped in the wind real bad till I took it off and fixed it! Looking at possibly a aero package and some spacers. Not sure yet on lowering. I don’t want to prematurely blow out the shocks or anything. Looking forward to see what you all have and had done.

PS don’t flame the vid! Wasn’t up to par yet on all the features. I’m still learning.

2016 AMG GTS
welcome, I bought a 2016 GTS in February with about 34k. Did the brakes (iron not Carbon) and about to do the trans and differential fluid change since it wasn't done at 30k. Love the car, congrats !

Nice car man!

I'm recent as well. Couple weeks ahead of you.

Enjoy that beast!

Congrats, looks like a nice pickup. I've got virtually the same factory specs, great car.

Anyone have more aggressive front lips? Will it replace or cover up my factory CF lip?

Aww man, I thought it was a GTR based on the outline, wing, and whp figures, when I posted on your Facebook post earlier.

I'd suggest the RW Carbon front splitter/side skirts, if you want good quality to price ratio, and the front splitter will sit on top of the CF piece you have now. I'd also suggest 5mm front/15mm rear spacers, which will fill out the wheel wells without losing any ground clearance.

i was looking at 13mm/15mm. Saw a guy with wheels with more aggressive offsets and it fit flush. The 5mm i worry since you’re losing 5mm of the hubcentric part. 13mm keeps it all since it replaces it all. I’ll look into those parts.

You can try 13mm, but without a drop it's going to look a bit off-roady.

2006 SL65 ///AMG - GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN: 2005 E55; 2002 ML55; 2001 CLK55; 1992 BMW 850i; 1991 M5
Congrats! I joined the club on Oct 3 and just titled the little monster yesterday. Our cars sound very similar - 2016 GTS, Ceramic brakes, Renntech tune and pipes. My last AMG was a KLEEMANN tuned SL65, so I was accustomed to the power, but not in a 3600 lb car. What a blast!

You do you brother, it's your car, just letting you know that it's going to look weird without a drop.

I run an aftermarket 20/21 set that is 20x10j et52 on the front. Its dropped just over an inch with a 275 tire - no rubbing at all.

That's about 20mm outward from the stock 9x9j et62 set up. You should have no problem with a 15mm spacer, but I have to agree with @Orcbolg that its gonna look like you're ready for off roading unless you lower it down.

9 +62 to 10 +52 is 23mm so id think 13mm for me should look ok. whats your rear numbers? any pics?
