2021 AMG GT Roadster Stealth Edition

Put a deposit on a 2021 GT Roadster Stealth Edition. Looks really nice on paper. Curious about some realities. Can anyone help with the following?

1. Has anyone received the same or similar model this year yet? I am in the USA and heard they still aren't in production until March 2021 but not sure if they been pumped out overseas.
2. The spec sheet says it includes and XXL Drivers Seat. Dealer says this is just how its listed in the states but doesn't mean anything special. One of my concerns is I am 6'4" 280 and the 2 other times I drove a GT (2017 and 2018 models) it was a bit tight on seat width and getting my legs in and out.
3. Opinions on the Stealth Edition compared to the standard options?
4. Sticker was almost 150k...curious if this is standard amount?
5. Why do they put seat adjustments on left thigh area instead of the doors like most other models?

Congrats, considering a 21 GT as well. Lot's of good changes. 150 is definitely on the higher side but probably loaded up. Can you share the order sheet? Would like to see the option prices since none are yet available on MBUSA. What is expected delivery?

Stealth Edition seems fitting...certainly is hard to get information for it.

Isn't this the second thread about a 'stealth' edition ? It's not on the MBUSA website but they already know the pricing and seat size ?? Has anyone ever seen a choice of seat size with MB ? Certainly Ferrari in the Sport seats...If I remember, no evidence of any sort ever validated the first 'stealth' thread...I would suggest the only XXL in the room is the dealerships imagination...

Who knows. MBUSA site still showing 2020 models on S class with arrivals around the corner and no pricing for GT or GTC. Information is slow for sure.

I've never heard of XXL seats. Curious.

Pretty sure that this is an EU thing that wasn't offered in the US, despite the abundance of "XXL"

AFAIK, Mercedes offers 3 seat configs for the AMG lineup and the US only gets one; the performance seats...

I assume the stealth edition = night edition in Germany. Looks like a $12k or so option

Piano Lacquer package (Center console inserts, center vent housing, door trim)
Black Brake calipers
Exclusive Black Nappa interior with stitching
Black steering wheel with Dynamica
All black (no silver rim) forged 19/20" cross-spoke wheels
Special plaque in the interior.

The coupe definitely gets more stuff with the CF roof.
I have to correct my earlier post; the paint lacquer only covers the vent rings, not the housing and the Y-spoke vs. cross spoke but wonder if the OP isn't better off getting the the CF interior bits instead, including the CF nappa steering wheel. Will look better and likely be the same price once added up.

Sort of sounds like what they did with the S class coupe night edition (which did not go over well try selling one of those with matte paint), though my 2016 had a sticker around 155K. The seats look different than mine, but I doubt that they could offer much more room without making the seat thinner like real track seats, which on a road car would not be that comfortable. You must be reasonably agile OP, someone not quite your size could not even get into my car.as a passenger.

That is kind of what my dealer told me. When I first asked he wasn't sure. I will attach the price sheet so you can all see the breakdown.

Interesting to see what the seat will turn out to be. Based on the pics it's a standard Performance seat.
The U98 option refers to the Lithium battery in other GT roadsters. The only other reference I can find was that the old SLR used the same options code (U97 XL Passenger seat, U98 XXL Driver Seat)

This is very much along the lines f the 2017 S class night addition coupe, mostly about looks not performance. Not sure about the matte paint, I am not crazy about the look (on anything) and a pain to take care of, and an even bigger pain if you get a scratch (or worse). I turned down the night edition S class coupe I (I bought my girlfriend a iridium silver coupe last month) I was offered by my dealer, because I don't want to deal with the marks on the car that will likely occur. Looks like they changed some thngs in the options and how they do them, which is expected, my car is almost 5 years old. I rarely keep cars as long (2 1/2 years) as tong as I have had the GTS, but it serves the purpose I have for it perfectly. I am getting one of the first 2021 F Pace SVR's (look into one if you need a SUV I was impressed) coming into the county, and while I normally do not mod SUV's, this one I am going to have some fun with. Good luck with the car OP, I'd change the color and see no purpose for the cosmetic stuff, but to each his own.

Same on matte, I think it looks like a primer coat...on anything. Stealth is also available with Selenite Grey Metallic which could be cool and they way to go IMO. Personally though, for 150k I'd probably look hard at a super low mile 2020 GTC.

Thanks for the feedback Carnut1 and Places. I thought about the GTC but not sure if you knew the 2021 GT gets a HP bump to 523 and torque 494 which is comparable to the GTC. My thoughts were they are trying to get the GT closer to the GTC in performance.

I knew about the HP bump and a bunch of other upgrades. IMO it's a different (and better) car than the 2020 and prior. I would - and am - considering a '21 GT perhaps later this year just based on the changes. It's a winner.

Haha thanks How did you like your C63's? That was another option I thought about, although hasn't changed much over last few years.

I regret selling the 2010 C63. NA 6.2 torque monster, tough to beat.

The GT will be a blast I'm sure. Can't wait to see the pics. ETA? Any idea when dealers will start getting these in? Covid has everything screwed up.
