How To Keep Adaptive Spoiler / Wing Up
Hello All,
I personally like the look of the spoiler / wing up on the AMG GT. I was wondering if there is a way to keep it up at certain times at low speeds since it'll go back down even with S+ mode. Is there a way to be able to keep the spoiler up at low speeds / stop and go. I also don't want to lose the functionality of lowering the spoiler when I want.
I have the ASR EVM (Exhaust Valve Module) I am wondering if there is a system similar to that but for the spoiler/wing

Yes I know about that button and use it, but when I deploy it using the button it’ll eventually go down when I slow down to stop/go speeds. Regardless of driving mode. I was wondering if there is a way to keep it up

okay sounds good, I’ll give this a try and see what happens after driving around. It just gets annoying to keep deploying the spoiler everytime it goes back down

There is no way to get it to stay up permanently. The manual said it will only be deployed above a certain speed. Pressing the button that's over your head will keep it up if you're parked to allow you to clean it. Once you start driving, it will go back down.

What speeds does the spoiler raise and lower on everyone’s cars? My 2020 retracts around 50kmh and raises around 125kmh. I remember seeing lower figures in the handbook I think.

The speed thresholds are also dependent on the selected driving mode.

I think Race mode raises the spoiler at around 40mph while SP/SP+ around 70mph.

I can confirm in race mode mine doesn't raise until 125kmh. I believe the handbook says in race it should raise at a lower speed like the 40mph you mentioned but I just assumed it was something changed on the 2020 facelift cars maybe. Hopefully some more owners can chime in with what their wings do

I have a 2017. I am able to deploy the spoiler for cleaning (as the manuals says) with engine off, pos 2 key on and by pressing the overhead button. If I leave it that way, the next time I drive the car, it will stay deployed until I hit the speeds set for deployment. At that point, the body control module functions as it is supposed to and when I decelerate back to the specified low speed the spoiler will close again. So...no...you cannot keep it deployed.
MB made its functionality very specific even to the point of setting a max speed limit if a failure is detected in the system. An aftermarket could be created (but I wouldn't want to create one) that could false signal the BCM when an actual 75 mph is reached so the BCM never sees the max speed as that is the moment the system resets if it is left open. Lower speeds if in RACE.
If the system fails and leaves you at a limited speed there is a procedure to reset it -
Rear Spoiler Control System Inoperative
The rear spoiler cannot be fully retracted and may extend again. If the retraction of the rear spoiler is blocked, e.g. by ice: X Make sure that the cause of the block is eliminated. X Switch off the engine and lock the vehicle. X Start the vehicle after waiting a few minutes. The rear spoiler returns to the original position. If this problem persists or the cause cannot be identified: X Visit a qualified specialist workshop.
Rear Spoiler Inoperative Limit 125 mph
The rear spoiler cannot be fully extended and extends as far as possible. The speed of the vehicle is limited to 125 mph (200 km/h). If the extension/retraction of the rear spoiler is blocked, e.g. by ice: X Make sure that the cause of the block is eliminated. X Switch off the engine and lock the vehicle. X Start the vehicle after waiting a few minutes. The rear spoiler returns to the original position. If this problem persists or the cause cannot be identified: X Visit a qualified specialist workshop

Hi,
If you want to have the rear spoiler extended permanently, there are also the following options:
One is: to decode the movable rear spoiler.
or, there is the aftermarket rear spoiler delete module. This can be used to mount a fixed spoiler.
The module simulates a working, moving rear spoiler. No error messages or speed limit.
If you extend your spoiler and insert the delete module, it stays open forever.
Without an additional circuit,of course you can't drive in the rearspoiler either.
But is also easy to restore to the original state at any time.
Kind regards.
