Just curious how come you think they won't fit?

Shape and size seem to look right? Or is it the lack of depth in the door that concerns you. Only a 80mm is shallow enough to fit, perhaps?

I have the stock system at the moment.

Hi,

These don't fit. Trust me. :-)
I know this 100mm MB speakers. (near identical to the center speaker)
Different mounting points (*****, GT have bolts) , different bolt circle and diameter is too large.
3" (80mm also) fits the Burmester door panels. (On stock locations)

Stock system? Shure? Always thought that didn't exist in the US.
So not a Premium / High End Burmester?
If so, you have no midrange speakers in the doors. (No wiring)
Don´t know the stock doorpanels. (are different)
No Subwoofer.
And (From 2017 models) no rearfill Speakers.

By stock I meant unmodified, but it’s the 810 system on a 2016 model.

By the way, what’s the second connection to the center speaker for anyway? It’s only for the eCall SOS? Or are there other signals being sent to the speaker through those wires?

Can we leave it disconnected if we don’t want eCall SOS.

Hi,

I can't tell you reliably whether something else is being transmitted via the 2nd coil. But I could imagine the PDC signal. But don't know for sure.

I didn't want to miss out on emergency communication. It's there and doesn't bother me. Think you will get an error message. (safety relevant)

All speakers are monitored. You will get an error message in the star diagnosis, e.g. you have a cable break.

There is an extra loudspeaker in the driver's footwell for car warning signals.

Mercedes would have an option like this modification. 3D sound is not for everybody, not for me. Main reason I do not want Mercedes is 3D sound. My wife says that our car can run without gas, but cannot without music (but no way 3D sound for me).
