GT Black Series Exhaust Options

Starting this thread for obvious reasons …

First thing I’ve seen published is the Opus downpipes … helps a lot but but I think a catback would help.

I regret selling my GTR for this exact reason, the exhaust note was euphoric. I should have kept it as a beater next to the GT BS.

I will probably take mine straight to Heffner in Florida and see what he can come up with for it. I’d like to hear the Opus setup on the road.

Come on we all have to admit it still sounds ****e and like a 45! Definitely something you wouldn’t care about on track but for road driving it’s going to spoil the overall experience!

Has anyone had any luck on US market exhaust options? I have e-mailed an inquiry to Opus about shipping their exhaust to the US but haven't heard back a price or any other details. They did say they will ship to US.

Opus just confirmed that my US spec VIN shows no particulate filter.

If you decide to buy his exhaust package mabe he can put it in your BS stuck at the port so you can save shipping costs.

I can't make a comparison of the two, but Supersprint is very good quality. You can't go wrong with them.
I had their high flow catless DPs and 200 cel cat relocation pipes on my F10 M5 and it was very nice setup.

I’ve noticed that Fabspeed and Redstar offer catted downpipes for the Black Series. Was wondering how they are different vs say GTC/GTR catted downpipes and would they fit a GTC/GTR (with a tune)

I put RedStar catless downpipes on my BS, sounds great above 4000 rpm, but the low speed drone is bad!

Ah interesting! What made you go with those and would you chose them again? I haven’t heard them in person, just a crappy YouTube video. So hard to judge.
