Magnetic radar mount installation...now completed
I'm working on the installation of my Escort 360c Redline as there really is no space around the rear view mirror I have found this the best location to have it out of my line of view.
I'll be running the wiring coming up through the center dash screen.

I was really disappointed that the mirror setup will not accommodate a BlendMount and Mirror Taps. I have them in most of my other vehicles and they really make a clean install and hassle free wiring,

Hi Hendrik,
Suggestion:
If you go this way, remove the screen. Here you have existing openings, through which you can put the power supply.
Would be completely invisible.
When you are not using your Detector, you can also put the line invisible behind the screen.
Kind Regards
Stenzel

My objective were;
- Have the unit away from the windshield so my removable sun screen can fit
- Have it located so it would not be in my line of sight when driving
- Have it so that it it can be dismounted instantly
- Make sure it does not vibrate when driving
- Eliminate excessive wire runs
The initial mount allowed for excessive vibration of the detector. I did end up making a custom under need support which incorporates a back end support that stop all the vibration and let me adjust the forward looking angle.
The unit is located within arms length so the controls on the unit are within easy reach.
Stenzel thanks for yout input.

Interesting install but the RD range maybe reduced by quite a bit.
The RD is pointing downwards towards the hood and not forward horizontally. While ours is also lower (top of window is ideal for beam angle) this literally points onto the street in front of the car.

Adjustable...
The pictures represent the install that was just finished and they are now to be followed in the next few days by some practical test to determine the best angle.

Calibrated...
My stay out of jail devices now active and the radar calibrated for the corrected forward looking angle.
You guys are making sure you're getting the best out of me.
