About taste can not be argued. I find this hood not so ugly. :-)
Like the idea. For me the position is right. You see the Turbos. What want to show?
What makes this part a no-go for me, is that the factory-installed cooling duct is missing.
This cooling channel runs from the cooler package with a flap valve, in the hood directly in front of the turbos.
This detail would be much more important to me, than optics.
I already think that this effectively combats accumulated heat.
That might be an improvement:
A pressure fan in front of the cooler package or a radial fan in or in front of the cooling duct.
Simply electrically parallel with the main fan.
But it seems to be photo shop? There seems to be a cooling opening for the turbos here.
Would love to see a picture of the backside.
Also do not believe that this hood works without a radiator conversion on GT / GTS / GTC / GTR. (BS has an inclined cooler package)

Yes, I agree. At this location it takes in too much plumbing wrapped in heat tape which is just not that attractive. I don't know if there would be a better position on this engine anywhere. It wasn't engineered to be that much of a visual showpiece as other cars with engine under glass are. Then some of those too, really miss the point such as the C8 Corvette with glass revealing an ugly plastic engine cover that everyone is now painting gala different colors.
