Hey all, I'm about to pick up a 2016 GTS and I noticed that the side skirt on both sides were kinda flaring out, is this normal? I can upload a better pic if needed but I'm wondering if this is a common problem with these cars. Everything else is flawless on the car.
I can't see what you are talking about in this mage but if there's a side skirt on this car it is not original and indeed it is an aftermarket addition.

I guess it’s the plastic molding not an actual side skirt, here’s a better pic.
Have them put in on a lift, it might just be a plastic clip that needs to be popped back in for that cover. Thats what it looks like to me from the pics.

I'll have them do that, I should also mention it's the same on the other side.

It's common. I agree with the dealer from your other thread, post #17. My 2017 is just like that, both sides. There is a little movement, I don't think I could pull the rocker tab out as far as you have (above) but certainly a little movement in mine. My car is completely stock, not aftermarket parts.

Okay that makes me feel better then, thanks for the input.

Rocker panels on cars like these are installed at the factory with a high tech adhesive. Same with the Corvette for a number of series all the way back to the C5s I believe. The body shops go pretty nuts where there is rocker panel damage BC you don't just snap off the old one and snap in a new one....lots more to it. I am pretty sure these GTs are the same. That is a touch corner/niche and could be the adhesive gives away on the corner. Frankly, if yours is anything like mine I wouldn't give it second thought.
