The sweet, sweet sound of downpipes + tune
Just got my 2016 GT S back from my tuner (Modern Mercedes Repair in Farmers Branch, TX - highly recommend these guys, they're awesome) and I'm in love with the way this thing sounds 😍

I was trying to find short videos of what the exhaust would sound like with the downpipes and tune all day and had a hard time finding anything other than 15 minute installation videos, so I decided to solve the problem myself. Enjoy!

Thanks! I feel the same way, I love them - music to my ears! I can still turn off the active exhaust to not bug the neighbors or draw unnecessary attention around police 😅

Lmao, with the secondary cats removed, and evm set to always open, I do the same. My neighbors seem to appreciate the sentiment. XD

Lucky you.. I have a stock GTR and I keep getting pulled over for "Loud Exhaust."... and no i'm not smashing the throttle. Now I get anxiety every time I see a cop. Must be Canadian thing.

Ouch. Thankfully we don't have that issue where I'm at, or I'd get ticketed often.

definitely a canadian thing

i live in a state where they dont care abt exhaust sound levels but ive heard stories of ppl getting pulled over in california for excessive noise

I just got my car back with a set of Project Gamma catless downpipes and a Stage 2 tune from DME Tuning this weekend. Holy crap this car sounds amazing. I mean, it sounded good before but now it just sounds absolutely nasty in Sport +. Comfort is actually very tame and doesn’t drone at all. Cold starts are a bit loud but neighbors haven’t complained yet.

I used project gamma downpipes on my GTR aswell.. they were the only ones that made 4” pipes compared to 3” by renntech and was fraction of the price aswell

Yep, same here. 4” and gorgeous ceramic coating for less than many. Combined with this DME Tune it is a different car.
