i finally got possession of my 2018 GT-R yesterday. first time I really drove it. Holy hell this thing is incredible. coming from a C7Z and still have a CLS63 this thing is just insane. Feels like being in a WW2 fighter cockpit. the sounds are intoxicating. the handling even in comfort is so stiff in a good way. steering so precise. interior is impeccable.
without further ado check out this gorgeous beast. i wasn’t sure I was going to keep the silver at first but I sure am now.might actually be my favorite color on this car now. in pics i had always been drawn to the greys. when I see it in person i love the silver. i think i finally got pics that do it some justice. wheels were painted Hyper Black. An AMG color from different model.
Car looks killer man!! Alex at Elite is far and away the best guy to work with, so you chose well there!! The GTR is an amazing ride to be able to fit in with the other cars around Elite but these cars somehow pull it off!!!

Multiple relatives have silver cars and, at get-togethers, I used to admonish them with "Hey ... no silver-car parking in my driveway!"
After being lucky enough to get a slightly used GTR Pro -- in silver -- I have to agree that a GTR looks fantastic in that color, maybe the best (and it pays homage to the "silver arrows" of the past). Of course, I did take a lot of ribbing about owning a silver car. My response has been "It's OK ... I hide it in the garage."

Funny, I track right with you. For years I've hated silver cars. They had to be black...maybe red. Last month I had my black car wrapped in 3M Satin White Aluminum (same shade as the OPs car, except satin). I absolutely love it and, same thing, eating a lotta crow from car guy friends who constantly remind me I hate silver.

Fronts are an AP racing Radi Cal setup. accepts regular sized pads and also 25 mm thick pads. Best track brakes around. $5500 for front axle. There is a meme bet in here who sells the adaptor for these and also sells complete kit. Rear i just put girodisc and Pagid pads.
Must have done some track duty in prior life with that brake setup. Wheel color rocks!
Nope was a virgin. Previous owner was preparing to track it. Had Elite install the roll bar and brake cooling kit. He had health issues before they completed it. looking at the suspension it looked brand new for an 8k mile car.
Yeah i love the wheel color. Hyper Black off some other AMG. Just found it googling AMG wheels. Got lucky. 😎

Thanks for breaking it in for me lol. Drove it harder in 30 min than i did my first day with it. I will say that got me to be more aggressive with it finally. needed someone to show me how it should be driven 👍

Cost alone. rotors are $3500 each. some report only lasting a few track days. AP makes the best BBK for tracking.
It was good overall. car did not overheat at all but i honestly didn’t watch temps. really need to get used to this car. My C7Z when stock was way more stable over T1 at Laguna Seca. this car adds about 3 mph over that car too. I never went flat out. my C7 i actually wish i had more power and could go even faster. I consistently hit 137-139 mph in that car. start finish line my c7 was at 117mph while the gtr was 120.4 mph. i really need more seat time and to get used to it.
only managed 1:40.3 lap. was hoping for at least 139. brand new ar1 too. took my buddy gt3 rs with dove day old ar1 and ran 1:40.05 first time ever driving that car. i ran TC off with two reds showing. car felt good overall. just different. another Pro owner there told me there were more twitchy.
ot also didn’t help i’m running 305 in the rear. little more meat would certainly help. Jeff cook did some warm up laps and ran a 1:36.0 with little traffic. He liked it.
Got mine a blue 2020 GTR from same shop good people there. I also got a G63 and Dodge Ram 2500 from them. Enjoy the car so much fun absolutely love mine. Drive safe!

Couldn't get it from a better spot - Alex and Elite are the best out there. I can't say enough about the guy or his team. huge fan!
With them opening their customs department down the street, I take everything I have to them. It's one of those "take my money" spots. Guessing that is where you will go when you start doing those other upgrades! They are prepping my R8 for consignment as we speak and they just found me a GTR Pro - very excited. Congrats on your new ride!
