the biggest problem would be whether the car came with the wiring for the memory seatbox (which does all the movements of the seat). Otherwise it should be doable.

Ha Ha Ha very funny… before making fun of someone ask yourself why are they asking this questions. Could be disability or smtg that you are not aware of. Originally Posted by 57 GTR

Humor is an interesting conundrum. I find your comment rude and shaming. Certainly wouldn't make me want to ask more questions here. I've had three back surgeries, so if I asked this question, it would probably be because of extreme pain. I have no interest in owning a caddy because of my physical limitations. I think that's a great question. I don't know the answer, but I own a 2018 GTC Edition 50, and the seats are awesome. A great mix between supportive yet comfortable. I've had carbon fiber racing seats in the past and unless they are made specifically for your body, they can be incredibly uncomfortable. The GTC and GTR are incredible vehicles, and you should have a seat that works well for you. Good luck in your search!Originally Posted by Omar Chraibi

Which seat do you want? (Pic?)
The main problem is likely to be the lack of electrical connections.
This retrofitting is possible but a bit complex = expensive.
A simple alternative would be seats from the SLK/SLC R172 or early EU Spec. GT Seats with purely mechanical adjustment.
That fits 1:1.(seat airbags not connected)
May I ask why you want to convert?
Find the Recaros very comfortable and completely suitable for everyday use.
Even my daughter who suffers from back pain (3 herniated discs) loves the comfort.
Best regards

Well I’m actually a little bit to tall and big for the seats and I put loads of miles on my cars. I’m not feeling as comfortable on this ones as in the GTC 50. I will enjoy the car more if I’m feeling comfy inside. Originally Posted by Stenzel-Germany

Best regards,
If this helps at all.... I switched to a gen 2 R8 for a momentary lapse of reason (it was fun but I am back). It was a great car, but uncomfortable for anyone over 6' tall. I did a bunch of customizing that actually helped a lot. The new owner even with a 34" to 36" inseam would be able to manage without a complaint. Originally Posted by Omar Chraibi

Best regards,
For the R8, I ended up having the dead pedal and the brake pedal location relocated. I dont have my GTR yet so I can't recall if this would be possible, but it might be an easier area to poke at that seat replacement and rewiring. When it was all said and done in the R8 I gained almost 3" of travel. Inches matter in this game....Im 6'4" with a 34" inseam and the GT fits me without any issues; guessing you are bigger or have a longer inseam?
