Was wondering if anyone has tried this? I’m thinking of getting it.

It's been discussed although it may have been under a different brand name. I think the consensus was to just get a thicker soled show.

Ive had it on the MB. Its fussy with this car (and MB in generally). You have to turn it down to a milder setting to prevent it from hopping (yes, actually having the throttle hop). To me on this car, it isn't worth it. I've had it on others where its a huge value add too - to give you perspective, I have used them on at least 6 different cars.

not much more than the middle - there are 3 categories and from there I think there are 4 or 5 refinements up/down within each category. Its going to be a nuanced programming setup. Your foot will have a different weight than mine. If you do it, get the bluetooth version so you can hide the device and do the tuning from your phone - easier.

Do you recommend starting on “City” or “Sport”

I started in S and found the sweet spot. Did my best to find the most response without risk of the throttle hop

I have it on my C63 for years now and love the extra umph...it doesn't have any tuning magic it just keeps the car in lower gear for shorter intervals thus making the car feel jumpy.

So I put this in yesterday. WOW! Like night and day. On the sport setting maxed out it breaks the tires loose like crazy. Doesn’t help that the tires are cold. 40* out. But still. Gonna have to play around with it and dial it back a bit.

I do not believe it affects shift points. It is purely remapping the throttle position. It doesn't affect the TCU. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm glad you are enjoying it, Mike. But please realize the device is just effectively pushing the throttle down further than your foot indicates. You can do all of that tire breaking loose without it just by pushing your foot a bit further down. There is no increase in power.

I understand but whatever is happening that was the effect. That said however it was 40* so I’m wondering how much of a role the temperature played…..

Really depends on which tires you are running. If you have the Pilot Sport 4 S - then in the 40s and below they literally feel like marbles to me - especially on wet ground. I prefer them much over the Continentals in the summer, but if you will be driving around much in the 40s or below, you really should consider a switch to the Continental Extreme contact DWS06 all season. They work surprisingly well in the cold and wet - I live in Oregon so trust me I know. Haha.

Ok yes. That’s a perfect description. On marbles. I’d prefer not to take the car out in the cold but I hate having it just sit there weeks on end till April (especially since there’s no snow on the ground). I’m a little old fashioned in thinking it’s good to having the parts moving once a week. lol.

Well, I always act like life is short, so every car I've ever owned - including classics and "super cars" - I've treated as daily drivers. The local Home Depot and Costco have seen my exotics many times. Haha. The AMG traction control is amazing - but still be very careful in cold and wet if you are running summer sport tires!

yeah, I put it on a panorama turbo and no go. What cars did you find it was effective on ?

What setting was it on? I have it on Sport (yellow) and 3 up from the center. Wasn’t hopping.

We have used pedal boxes on AMG’s on the M8. It was good on the E63s which had a somewhat lazy throttle response.

Yeah I’m sold on it! I think that I’m not seeing it’s full potential due to the cold tire temps. I think once next spring and summer comes then I really turn it up.

Pedal Box is made in Germany and their test mules for production and refinement has been Audi, Benz, and VW line. In the past 4-5 years of having it on I have not had one problem. The engine screams on kick down and it is spastic and ready to go on the slightest throttle push. Lots of thrill and it wakes up the engine (indirectly)...
