The round exhaust tips will be the 43 trim equipped with the 2.0 hybridized turbo 4-cylinder producing 402 horsepower assuming it follows suit with the SL trim line.
You can see what appears to be the E Performance door on the back of the green one. If this is the case and we see a 4.0 V8 and the Hybrid system you can sign me up for an 800+ HP option. It should only weigh about 9000 lbs.......
man, its actually a complete departure of MB setting their own stage. This looks like their own rendition of a 911.
I don't hate it but it's an SL not a GT. In fact, it's really an SL911. Feels like Mercedes conceding that it would rather chase a leader, than be a leader.

Unlike the previous design that started with body lines this one started at underpinning. When you give the designer a chassis and an engine placement and tell them we need four seats in it that's what you get. These are from MB GT archive showing how the C190 started.
Agreed. I had the opportunity to see the new SL last summer just before it came out. Because of those extra seats the proportions are all off. It’s a shame. Mercedes could’ve really had a winner. I got a 2019 GTC instead.
