GT Black series exhaust - anyone modify theirs?

Anybody with a GT Black series change their exhaust?
Curious opinions on what you went with, and how difficult install was.
Not looking to change tune or anything else but exhaust.

Thanks in advance!

Haven't gone with anything yet, but definitely would like to modify exhaust (without touching ECU or getting check engine lights)

Looking for any recommendations (such as catless downpipes if suggested by someone who has done them), and trying to get an idea what is required to install.

I spoke to Renntech yesterday as I have been interested in changing the exhaust on my Black Series. Phil was extremely helpful and informative on the phone. Their exhaust (expensive IMHO at about $7200) is downpipes and sport cats. Supposedly does not cause check engine light or any issues. There are essentially 2 ways to install:

Option 1: CUT existing pipes and install - in their shop they charge approx 3 hrs labor. Of course downside is can't ever 'cleanly' return to OEM.

Option 2: MUCH more complicated install - in their shop they charge approx 30 hrs labor - have to move a lot of things around (lift engine, drop transaxle....)
Much cleaner install as nothing cut, and thus could return to OEM one day if wished, but clearly much more complicated, and I assume some risk involved?

If you are going for sport cats then no need to go the longer route.

Sorry, not sure what you mean by 'longer route'?

The 'shorter route' for install requires cutting the factory exhaust pipes to fit the new exhaust.
Much easier install, but theoretically difficult to return one's car to stock (if ever wanted), without welding pipes back together or using some sort of clamp/fitting to reconnect cut pipes.
Not sure where the pipe is recommended to be cut - if it's somewhere readily visible, or underneath a panel or something.

I went the longer route but it was definitely not 30 hours, more like 5-6 hours

eurocharged charged me for 6 hours labor

i went with catless downpipes so wanted to save factory cats if i ever sold the car the new guy will have the option to go back.

Can someone please record/post a video of the BS with an aftermarket downpipe? I can't find anything online and want to hear to see if it's worth doing this.

Confused as to what you went with? Maybe you can share as I'd like to tweak my exhaust some as well.

Without CATs, don't you get a check engine light?

From what I was told, unless you cut the existing pipes, it's a huge job to remove the factory exhaust in order to swap it out.
Move Transaxle and oil lines, lift engine etc...

I’d give a kidney to get a much louder exhaust just to cover up his inane screeching!!
