Using carplay modules to activate carplay in 2016 amg gt?

i see a bunch of options like the above, where you plug the device into obd and carplay gets activated. i have a 2017 amg gt. will this module work? OR can you do carplay coding?
none of these vendors know if it will work..

That’s a solid no. No activation possible on the GT models. One must install a CarPlay module or go full out and buy the 2020+
