regardless you will need to take them out
need to see if they click when its out. if not youll need to take it apart to look at the internals.

Just curious, you seem to have added a lot of aftermarket parts to your car but I can't recall seeing any images of anything yet. For one I would love to see what you have done and how it turned out but if you are asking for fitment questions or issues, some pics may provide easy answers vs. lengthy explanations.
In general, aftermarket suppliers usually use OEM electronics, so my assumption without any pics is that there is a fitment issue, either of the new pedal (usually 3M taped) or the cutout for the OEM pedal, perhaps due to some new leather/alcantara being in the way...

my experience with the extended paddle shifters is that they are still pivoting with the original OEM paddle mechanism. In doing this, the farther out on the extended portion that you apply a shift, the pressure required for the shift doesn't translate back correctly - the pressure is diluted in the flex of the extender and the car doesn't shift, To test if that's the case, do your shift behind the paddle connection and see if its better. If the problem doesn't happen, you have your answer.

Hi,
Since there are no pictures, a few general tips.
I know of 2 types of shift paddle "extensions".
1st version is an extension glued to the original paddle. Not visually appealing, but worked without problems.
2nd version was an extension that was glued to the original mechanism / pushbutton switch, instead of the previously removed "paddles".
This caused the same problems.
I just went back to the originals.
Best regards
Stenzel

I have installed the bigger stick on paddle shifters on my GTS, they work well. It is a bigger surface area to grab so more of your hand can go on it to make the shift. I have not had any issues with them being bigger but I do not one finger shift from the very top or bottom of the paddle.
Mike GLS450 that is a GREAT looking car you got there!! great mods too!! I really like the wheels being all black.
If I could have someone else install the new wheel for me I would do the newer style wheel and update my ride. For as many mods I have done, the steering wheel is not something I have experience with.
