My factory warranty is set to expire soon so I called my MB dealer and they offered to extend my manufacturers warranty for up to 3 years at the prices below

1 year: 4,500
2 years: 6,500
3 years: 7,500

If the car is sold back to the dealership, they'd offer a prorated refund. I think the 3 year option is the way to go as it's only an additional $200 a month, but was still wondering what the general consensus is on these prices?

Sounds about the same as I was quoted by my Canadian dealer ... 3 yr for GTR Pro extension at about $8,500 with inspection. I've read the agreement and it looks fairly comprehensive. Although I do relatively low mileage, given that I track the car, I'm going to do it. I've never been one to "over-insure" but I think this is one of those rare cases where it's a good idea ... though it's one of those expenses one hopes is a complete waste (like tire chains, tire-repair kit, tow rope, ...).

FWIW, we used the MB new car extended warranty and paid $6950 for the 3 year one (7yr/75k miles). Like that it's refundable. It can only transfer to a private party so if the car is sold to dealer or traded-in, you will get the money back (pro-rated). Not a bad deal for a peace of mind.
The prices can be negotiated btw., just like the price of the car...

Pricing pre-2023 is no longer accurate as Fidelity increased the costs of coverage January 1st every year. Something I have encountered with a number of Tory's customers, was all of their quotes were form 2022 prior to the 2023 pricing increase and can not be matched.

Fidelity's lowest level of coverage, Powertrain coverage, is only available on vehicles with over 25K miles.
