Price on a low mile GT-R?

What is a fair price for sub a 3,000 mile 2020 GT-R with a high $205K list so pretty much every option box checked?

There are no great comps on BaT as most that have gone through there are higher miles and 18 or 19s. Asking prices are getting steep at $175-190K but somehow I doubt they are selling for that (I might be wrong).

I would think the the resurrection of the 4L TT V8 with more power and the AMG GT model for another generation on the immediate horizon would drive values down. Granted it is based on the new SL which I haven't driven but looks like a bit of a pig so maybe not. And AWD will allow for some blistering 0-60 times even if it is not the purist's choice.

Thanks!

I've got a 2020 AMG GT roadster with 3500 miles on it in new condition. The MSRP was $138,870. I recently ran a computerized inquiry as to its trade in value (I forgot which program I used) and came up with $109,000 if in excellent condition.

I believe these cars will hold their current values.

You Should know that most people here are in agreement that the new GT does not offer the same type of exclusivity and would only serve to bolster previous generations pricing.

Either way, there is no new GTR.

Thanks. That's about 21% depreciation, I would be thrilled to find a nice low mile AMG GT-R with 21% depreciation (about $158K).

I haven't driven the new SL but it does look a little like a boat compare to the AMG GT and previous SL generations. That said, it looks like a very nice and very quick boat (In a strait line).

Thanks for the encouraging words. I was pretty shocked to see the news of another AMG GT as I don't glue myself to the auto press and forums any longer.

You can't equate depreciation ranges between GTS's and GTR's. GTR's are maintaining their values much better.

I got almost $12k off and paid a little under $127k for the car in September 2020. That would make the depreciation about 14%

Unfortunately, given current market, you will not be able to find a 2020 low mileage for $158K.

Best deal i've seen more recently (end of Feb 2023) was a 2018 GT R in Solar Beam with < 1K miles, Clean CarFax and with ALL options (except Front Lip/Side Skirts/Side Fin/Rear Diffuser in CF), even Full PPF, listed for $159K.
Sold quickly.

Recommend signing up for automatic email alerts on CarGurus/Auto Trader/Auto Tempest/etc etc websites, and keep hammering the websites daily to find that deal.
Also, there are Facebook groups that offer "wholesale pricing" where you may be able to find a good/better deal.

If not CPO'd directly via MB, then proceed with an exceptional 3rd Party Warranty - sooner you purchase the better, as pricing is based on MY and mileage.
Good Luck

Agree, I got my 18 GTR with 10k miles back in March 2023 GHM paint and all options (CCB, Carbon 2 pckg, etc) except carbon rear diffuser for $155k.
Doubt a 2020 will be any cheaper with less miles. I wanted the 18 on purpose. I hate the digital center console buttons.

Agree on the buttons....usually first answers are correct and there was no need to change the round dials.

If you're still in the market for GT R,
The very SAME vehicle i previously mentioned above, is now back on the market with only 1,738 miles, and for $1K more than previous asking price:

Have seen quite a number of used GT Rs with multiple previous owners - usually collectors who offload after only a few miles put on the clock.
That said, would likely get a PPI on it, and request the complete Trans/Diff (Transaxle) Service (4 Year Service) completed at an MB Dealership, if not already done.
Good luck!

Looking at the pix of that car you can tell it’s barely been used. The rotors; steering wheel and side bolsters of the seats all look pristine, and it has ultra low miles for it being over 5 years old. Whether those low miles could potentially lead to other drivetrain issues may be a bit of a worry, but the car looks to have been incredibly well cared for.

I would buy this car in a heartbeat if I were in the market, but as MBNRG states, get a PPI and negotiate an aftermarket warranty.
