Guess it wasnt meant to be. Day 20 on track. Stock power and cooling mods only. Loved that car. Will never own another one after that. Lead me to bigger and better things. C’est la vie
Aside from the unexpected BBQ, what didn't you like about the C7?
Just curious, as I've owned a couple of C7's. Thanks!

really just the fact it burst into flames 🤷♂️. Was my third Corvette. Wouldn’t go more than 4-5 laps without overheating and this was a 2017 with upgraded radiator. I addressed that issue but it lead to slightly larger problems ……. 🔥
Thanks! I can appreciate that, being a race tracker. I had a '15 Z06.

Sure, I was wondering if there was anything more specific than that and if it was preventable / could be useful to learn about and watch out for.
I had LG cheek coolers so it stopped overheating early on. Exhaust started super heating and melting harnesses and sensors etc. I I started putting heat shields and header wrapped all of the exhaust except over the rear axles. It’s funny because in the 2018 model they put a heat shield there to protect the one rubber section of trans line In the whole car. Umm yeah. GM didn’t bother to tell anyone. . I guess they were counting on the motor overheating before any issues would arise. 🤔🤯
that being said there was a black flag and debris on track by corkscrew “I think may have hit.” Geoupnwas black flagged and we all Hot pitted. Car was smoking. I assumed it was brakes but immediately car filled with smoke by T3. If I hadn’t collided with something on track insurance may not have covered it.
GM can suck it. Will never trust my life in another one of their cars after that. Car had bone stock power. The fact they never told anyone about an issue they clearly knew about speaks volumes.

Wow, that's really screwed up... really good to know about GM. Glad insurance is coming through for you!
