Anyone reconginze what this is from?

I had the oil changed on my GTC at the dealership. First time. I was just washing and vaccuming the car and I removed the drivers carpet floor mat. In the upper left corner on the floor I found this piece. The edges look like it broke off of somewhere. Any ideas? I saw the mercedes emblem on it so It's from a mercedes.. Just not sure from mine?

Thanks for the help...

Any markings on the other side?

It looks like some sort of trim piece. Have you had a good look in the drivers footwell? It doesn’t look too important, but a pain nonetheless.

It feels like cheap plastic. There's nothing in the drivers footwell that I could see. Maybe I'll take the wife's face mirror and see if there is something up under the dash that I can see. Don't know why they would use a chrome color plastic for something hidden under the dash but who knows. It's more concerning since this was the first time I've had work done at the dealership. Don't know if I can trust them going forward.

It is cheap plastic - polycarbonate and ABS especially the ABS component. The groove makes me think it slides into/onto something.
A tool perhaps? Take it back to the dealer or send them the picture.

I do recognize it, and I found mine in the passenger footwell of my 2020 GTc. I did a complete interior detail about a mnth ago and came across this piece and had the same concerns. At the time I figured out that the piece was inconsequential(I matched it up with something I had purchased for the car) and now I cannot remember what the connection was. I do know at the time I ruled out that the piece had any importance to the car. I just turned 72 yesterday, can you tell!!! If I think of what that piece is all aboput I will come back in and let you know.

Thanks. I still have that piece sitting on my microwave. Can’t seem to throw it away until I know where it came from. 😫

I was over at our Merz dealer today and took a pic of your(and mine) part to show them. The parts folks did not have a clue, so they called for the lead mechanic in the shop. He works on most AMGs and Black Series cars. He too did not have any idea what it was. At this point I give up. Whatever part it is(or is not) just was not identifiable by the dealership.
