I have been trying to find a 2020-21 GT S but I can't seem to find one on any of the major car sale websites. They do have the Base, GTC, and R but no S. Google said S were made for those years but I don't know how to verify. I want a face lifted C190, but I don't want to spend C money and would rather not get a base. Any info? I am not interested in the New GTs.

I found this video showing a 2020 GT S. At first I thought maybe it was the same as a C in US market but this car doesn't have the C rear bumper with the vents so I think it is actually a S.Originally Posted by G. P

The GT S was produced from 2015-2020, but I don't remember if the 2020 was sold in the US. The car in the video is an EU-spec GT S.

In some European countries, if a dealer still has 2019 vehicles in inventory during 2020, they may register the car as 2020 at the time of sale. However, this does not mean the vehicle is a 2020 model year (MY2020) by design or by U.S. standards. If such a car is imported into the United States, it will be registered based on its actual model year, MY2019.I’m fairly confident that the VIN will include “2K,” which corresponds to 2019.Originally Posted by Gee_115

That’s not the case here. Watch the video. This GT S is a FL, so it’s a 2020 by definition as the GT was facelifted for MY2020. As said, the last model year of the GT S is 2020, but that doesn’t mean it was sold in the US or many of them in general. 2020 was the height of the COVID lockdowns and supply chain shortages and quality issues started.Originally Posted by G. If that is the case, could you please find a few AMG GTS VINs that show Model Year 2020? I haven’t been able to locate any.Originally Posted by superswiss

My suspicion is that the car shown in the video may actually be a rebadged 2020 AMG GT with GTS tag, as the bumper and exhaust pipes appear to be aftermarket modifications.
But I may be wrong and will appreciate to learn something new.

This site doesn't show VINs, but it's one of the largest German Used Car sites. This is an example of a facelifted GT S. It was produced in 2019 and first registered in 2020. It doesn't specifically state the model year, but MY2020 production started in 2019 and as said, it's a FL, so it's a 2020 or what would have been sold in the US as a 2020. As said, tough, not sure there are US spec 2020s, but I'll see if I can find an actual VIN. Originally Posted by G. P
