Window Tinting
? on WINDOW TINTING.
In the past I have seen a ton of half *** installations on window tinting. Curious if it is still the same old thing as far as film being installed on the inside of the glass.
Anyone have any recommendations on products???

also, don't forget to ask if you need that strip to protect the window film, its some sort of wool, fur or syntectic non abrasiv strip so you don't scratch the new tint. i will be doing 80% front two & 30% back 3 windows.

i havent had a car tinted since the mid 90s and was watching a television show on Speedvision and noticed a tint installer installing tint on the outside of the rear glass of a CLS and on the outside of the glass of the windshield while the side windows were applied to the inside of the glass. Is this the new way of installing tint and is this better than having all the tint on the inside of the glass? Ive never seen anyone install tint on the outside and am extremely curious on how that works?

Madico has the best quality film and has a lifetime guarantee. I've had it for over a year and have had no problems.
As for installing the tint outside, I think the guy you saw was only measuring it. I watched the guy who did my car and he would lay the tint on the outside to cut it and then would install it inside.
