How to clean certain parts...

Okay, so I have a few questions...

1. Is there any way to get water spots off the glass from where it rained and sat in the sun for a few hours and now my car has those "rain spots" on the glass?

2. Whats the best way to get grime off the paint. Particularly on the trunk-lid and rear bumper where dust and grime builds up and when I wash they're always little spots that just WON'T come off. Also, on the rock panels.

3. On the wheels, there are spots of brake dust build-ups. Whats the best way to get that off.

Thanks in advance for any help you may have!

I got just one answer for all your questions. Clay 'em.

clay will work for all of those mentioned, but may scratch the paint on the tar/bugs. Go to your local store and pick up some tar/bug remover, spray it on and it should come off, or just rub slowly with lots of suds ( when washing ) and it will eventually come off.

The wheels are to be treated just as you would treat the body. Once you clay 'em (after the grit is removed and slickness is regained) you can wax your wheels.

word, clay is quite good to remove the brake dust pits, plus the wax make them"pop"! man those wheels are clean! did you take them off to clean them?

Taking a wild guess, but thanks to Porsche's rotor and wheel clearance I doubt he needed to take off the wheels to clean them. They look real nice, by the way!

As others have said, use clay on everything. Just make sure it is clean first. Also as others have mentioned, larger bits can be removed with bug and tar remover. Rinse and clay after that. If you wax after clay, it will make cleaning everything easier next time.

Water spots on glass are easily removed with white vinegar and water. Rinse and clay after that.

YAY! I've been told by E55AMG99 to use clay on my wheels to get that baked on dust but haven't gotten around to it. I assume this will work for a sort of rough feeling haze on the wheels too.
