Restoring Paint (HELP)

Was washing the car the other day, and noticed almost an endless array of marks in the paintjob. Does anyone know of a solid product which can restore the paintjob?

Thank you.

First things first, try claying to remove contaminants. Next, go with the Meguiar's Deep Crystal line (Deep Crystal paint Cleaner and Polish). Top it off with Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax and see what that'll do for you.

Pictures would certainly help to determine the severity of the condition your paint is in.

Thank you. I wouldn't call it severe by any means at all. Just when I closely examine it in bright sunlight can I see these marks. What do you think of Flitz polish?

Never heard of Flitz, but I can tell you that Meguiar's won't disappoint you.

Key marks on my trunk!

What product can help seal or help buff out light, superficial scratches? There is a spot on my car where it is scratched; the top enamel seems to be the only damage, and thankfully the scratch didn't go deep in the paint. Is there a product like a wax or "scratch remover" that can help conceal and protect it?

Thanks!

If you can catch the scratch with your fingernail, it's probably too deep to buff out with regular polish/paint cleaner without a rotary buffer. You can try ScratchX from Meguiars to minimize the scratch and then put a glaze to conceal it. After that you need to put a coat of wax to seal the glaze. You need to repeat this after 4-6 weeks. (The glaze and the wax)
I've used the Show car glaze (No.7) from Meguiars. Good product but it's a bit difficult to work with.
For the wax, P21S/S100, Meguiars NXT worked well for me.
Other product that works well for me is Klasse All-in-one and Klasse Sealant Glaze. This combo should work very well.

Good Luck!!

I ran my fingers through the scratched area, and used the fingernail technique, and thankfully it did not catch. I'm gonna try doing what you said, and will let you know how it turns out!!! Just one question; for repeating the glaze and wax after 4-6 weeks: after I put on another coat of glaze and wax, does this help to seal the scratches permanently? Or do I have to periodically repeat this throughout the life of the car? And will this stuff hold when I wash the car, or will it wash off?

Thanks so much for this awesome info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you passed the finger nail test you might be able to remove the scratch all together with paint cleaner like scratchX. Especially if you use a buffer (doesn't have to be a rotary buffer, a random orbit buffer will do). If you are patient enough, I'm pretty sure it will come out.
If it doesn't come out, the glaze and the wax will help to hide it temporarily. They will withstand 2-3 car wash. After that you have to repeat the process. Yes, over the life of the car. The Klasse product will probably stay on longer if you don't want to do it every month.

Thanks a bunch Spriro, I'll try what you suggested later today, and let you know how it turns out!!!
