She Finally Came Home for Some Pampering
Well I started around 1000 this morning and had to quit around 1730. Anyways the guy that owned the car before me did not take care of it and the paint was a f*&#n mess; road grime, tree sap, tar, water spots and many clearcoat scratches.
Although I have always detailed my own cars throughout the years and have taken pride in keeping my wife's C320 in pristine condition I realize that I was an amateur at best.
I want to thank everyone for sharing their knowledge and experience. As I worked on her today, many of your recommendations came to fruition as well as I learned a thing or two. The Klasse AIO actually was the most difficult because it left a slight haze/residue on the hood, roof and trunk. I remember what you all had said use the AIO polish to remove the residue and of course that worked.
I used the Klasse High Gloss Glaze from a spray bottle as suggested and applied it very light and buffed until I could not see the film anymore ( very little)....and again it worked. When I removed the HGG and there was residue I just used my buffing bonnet with HGG already on it to go back over it and buff it in then wipe it off. No residue!
I used microfiber polishing bonnets and Cobra Microfiber towels.
This is how I detailed her:
Prewash to remove any prior wax or polish.
Pinnacle Ultra Clay
Meguiars Paint Cleaner to work on the clearcoat scratches followed by a thorough cleaning to remove any residue.
Klasse All In One
Klasse High Gloss Glaze
Tommorow I plan on applying another coat of Klasse HGG. Do I need to rewash or just dust before applying another coat?
After hearing how I detailed the car do you have any suggestions or am I doing it right?
I did notice that Klasse recommends applying it with cotton bonnets/towels.
Again, I want to thank you all for sharing. I did alot of reading on this forum in preparation for her homecoming.

Beautiful car and detail job! I'm also an amateur, but have learned quite a few things on this forum. I'd like to thank the moderator and all of the contributors as well.
