Zaino question

ok..today I dawn washed car, clay bar, dawn washed again...did the ZPC swirl remover, then z5 pro with accelerator, wiped clean, Z6, another coat of Z5 pro with accelerator, and Z6 again at the end..I have the Z8 but didnt like it as I tested it on the trunk and left horrible streaks and was impossible to get off so I decided to finish with the Z6..I know that I should have used Z2 as the last polish but didnt buy it because I thought the Z5 was the same but with a swirl remover added to it..so My question is now that I have gotten the car down to the paint and did all the above steps...what do I have to do to maintain the shine...do I have to do the clay bar and all that or can I wash it and than do the Z2 in about 6 months...thanks

Use the Zaino car wash and every 3 months or so do a coat of Z2.After washing it use the Z6 and she'll shine like she was just waxed. How about some pics ?

C43 as I was doing the process I told my girlfriend I should have taken before and after pics because I knew you guys would want to see...to be honest the car is white and now when I close the door my fingers actually slip off of it...but being white it is not as dramatic as a black car...I did love the ZPC which alot of people on this board said is a waste..I think the ZPC is best for a car that is 5+ years old...I got things off the car that the body shop said I would have to repaint...also I used a whole bottle of the Z6 is that normal...I used the Z6 twice on the process

A whole bottle of z-6 in one day is a waste of money. I dilute it 50% with water and to insure good coverage, I hand spread it over the paint before wiping it off. And after some experimentation, I’ll only use it after the final z application and not between same day coats of z5 or z2.

You don’t mention the color of your car but Z5 does work for filling in (not removing) swirls and doing solid colors. Z2 is best for clear coat metallics.

Clay the car when the finish isn't smooth and wax the car when the water beading takes on a different shape. If you garage the car you shouldn’t have to clay or wax it as often as one sitting in the open every night and day.

Getting streaks means you are using too much product or not wiping it off soon enough.

as I mentioned above in my last post I have a white car...I sprayed the Z8 on and removed it right away...so you think if I use less it will not be streaky...I decided to just use the Z6 instead...but I wish the Z8 would have turned out....can I use the z8 after washes now

The Z2 will give you a much deeper shine than just the Z5. I would recommend that purchase. A whole bottle of Z6 in two applications is a LOT! You're only supposed to mist the surface with this, and then wipe it down. The same with the Z8 (which might be the reason your's was so streaky).

You can go awhile before you have to clay your car again (of course, this all depends on conditions). I like to clay my car about once each year.

As for maintaining, you really only need to wash it (I would recommend the Z7 for this) and then a LIGHT coat of Z6 for some added shine. Every few months or so you can add 1 or 2 coats of Z2. What you want to avoid is taking your car to a car wash where the industrial strength soap, strong water jets can effect your finish. Also, I've discovered that the "wax" that the car wash applies does not bond very well to the Zaino (my wife took her car to the car wash ).

wash it yourself w/ the zaino wash and it will stay nice. taking your car to a carwash is the best way to tear up your paint anyway.
