How best to remove brake caliper rust ?

This is a front brake caliper of my '04 e320 that I took delivery of end of August.Unfortunately the dealer's prep dept uses a high pressure cleaning sytem that pretty much removes all of the coating on the calipers resulting in what you see.
I want to repaint the calipers and am wondering what the best rust removal to use would be. There are caliper wire brushes, drill mounted rotating brushes, emery cloth, etc. I don't want to use something caustic like naval jelley. Evapo rust is safe but requires soaking in a tub. I also don't want to remove the units from the car for bead blasting, etc. Anyone have any experience with this ? Thanks

Thanks C43, but as I said I'm not going to go through the whole dis assemble process for cosmetics....just a rust removal and caliper paint project.

A stiff wire brush and some POR-15 - http://www.prp-porstore.com/

Callipers:
A way to spice up the look and at the same time protects the callipers from corrosion.
The Calliper Paint System (G”- Manufacturing, Inc) features aircraft quality paint, available in six different high gloss colours, Red, Yellow, Blue, Silver, Black, & Purple. The paint is heat resistant up to 932 degrees; this paint won't start running into your brake pads, it also seals and protects against corrosion.

Brake dust and dirt will not adhere to the calliper surface since adding the paint. The kit includes everything you'll need to get the job done, besides paint you'll also get reactor (special bonding agent), high tech calliper cleaner, mixing sticks, and a brush
Tip- cover any lettering that you don’t want painted with a thin coat of Vaseline
