PERFECT WASHING insructions for BLACK
hi
can anyone tell me how to wash a black car properly and professionally
i dont want to get any swirls marks(try to minimize them)
but the problem is this will be my 1st car and its black ehich is harder to maintain?
so it will much appreciated if someones can give me a link to a good site/ tell me how to wash properly(no swirl marks)

It's almost impossible to wash an MB black car and not get some swirls. I've tried everything but eventually gave up and let the dealer wash & swirl. All you can do is put a quick coat of wax after washing to hide the swirls until they get soooo bad they need buffing. Check the detailing forum, I have buffing instructions there.

I had a black Pathfinder and now a black C coupe. I have never had swirl marks from washing either one. Swirls usually are a result of wax application. I use a buffer which when properly used will not swirl, at least I have had good luck in the past. I wash with Zymol car wash at the specified mixture with water. I always avoid direct sun when washing to prevent heating the body panels and to prevent premature evaporation. I always dry with The Absorber which works great. Stay away from any auto car washes, they will scratch your paint. Put on some Zymol (it is hard to get off though) or use Meguires (spelling?) Gold, it works very well and is a breeze to remove, but doesn't last as long a zymol. You will love your black C. In my opinion, it looks the best with the pano roof and tail end, kinda stealthy.

The drying stage gives you one of the greatest chances for swirls, though they can happen at any stage in your detailing process. The absorber is not very effective compared to a waffle weave microfiber towel, but it still works. The best thing to do is blot and not wipe water up. If you are in the market for a carnauba wax, my pick is P21S or S100 paste wax.

S100 is a motorcycle brand, but it works the same for car paint. Try your Harley-Davidson dealership, or any other motorcycle type shop in your area. Those are your best bets. You want to get a can of the paste wax.
