What kind of detailing product does the MB dealer services use

Hi,

What kind of detailing product does the MB dealer services use for detailing. Is it the same product available in the market, or MB special products?

Thanks

Most of the MB products are made by Meguiars. Most of the time it says so right on the label. Hope this helps.

Thank you jpohl402 and GGM for your replys

I am wandering whether it's worth it to detail the car at MB service center.

Most car dealerships have a bad reputation when it comes to detailing cars
( a detailer, avatar Totoland, is a rare exception)

A better idea might be to find a reputable professional deatiler and employ his / her services

What the dealer "offers" at the merchandise counter and what they "use" is completely different. My local shop uses cheap buy by the gallon stuff from a local distributor. I would highly recommend seeking out a detailer outside of MB.

If you want to do it yourself

I would suggest searcing the posts here on this forum, and its sponsor, and other high end (BMW: roadfly, bimmerfest; Audi: Audiworld) web sites. Additionally, properautocare.com has an enormous amount of data and information.

I learned by researching what others had done and following their lead. The trouble is some of them are semi professional and a *little* ****.

A good detailing of your car can take between 4 and 6 hours to complete.

Have fun and you'll be proud to drive your handy work anywhere.
