Can anyone suggest a good liquid wax to use that rubs off easy and gives a real wet look? Tired of useing hard and soft paste wax. Silver paint on the car. Thanks

For a quality liquid wax I would recommend the Clear Kote Carnauba Moose Wax - 16 oz. It applies with ease and has a nice deep shine.

If you want to try a sealant I would suggest the Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109 - 16 oz or the Blackfire Wet Diamond with Polycharger - 16 oz. These products would provide a lot more durable protection and they also have an awesome shine to them. If desired you can apply a wax on after the sealant.

My restorer/custom body shop recommends washing the car, using 3M Imperial Glaze Polish, followed by Mother's Carnuba wax.

I do it once a season and just wash the car with Dupont Car Wash. It looks better tha the professional detailers.

You may have to go to a professional trade shop to get the 3M product. Pep Boys stocks the Mothers.

Since he is a restorer and super painter he doesn't recommend any products with silicones in them.

Oh, and I have Venture Shield on all of the cars. It's terrific.

It's a sealant, but I've had good luck with Meguiars NXT 2.0 liquid. I have a white car, and it really brings up the depth.

My friend, there is (in my experience) no single magic liquid or paste or wax that can help achieve the ultimate wet look without preparing the paintwork. Its a labor of love.

But if you really want fast result assuming your paint is swirl free (that is a big assumption), wash with a good shampoo, dry with the best drying towels, seal with a decent paint sealant or glaze and finally layer with a great carnuba wax. Wax is only a final coat that gives it that wet look on a near perfect prepared paintwork. I have no where near the level of equipment which professionals have but I am getting there.

Meguiars NXT really hits the spot, you can find that almost anywhere, unlike some of the other products.
Mothers Carnuba Wax would be my next choice.

I have used it on both black and silver paintwork and from my experience, it definately gives off a wet look and feel.

[The pic in my sig, i used EagleOne NanoWax. I dont like it as much as Meguiars. It reflects light too evenly and that can cause dull reflection with little definition but lots of depth, which can be a good or bad thing to some.]

I use NXT

NXT is great and easy to applied, but it only last about 5 days here in Socal...Also they collects alot of dust on blk cars.

I have tried Zaino for last few years and they are great as well and will last more than 3 months.

I wash weekly so 5 days really isnt too bad for me. Plus my car isnt black
