I know my father wouldn't let another brand of product touch his BWM motorcycles, and he was p.i.c.k.y. . I'd also love to hear others' expericences with the different products...
The wax goes on & off like melted butter, leaving your finish w/ the deepest ,wettest looking finish . For $15.00, it has no equal.
I have been using zymol and was happy with it aside from the durability-seems to need redone about every 2 months. So I decided to try s100 paste wax. I stripped the zymol with Dawn, dried the car, and then set to work. I got the hood done before I gave up! It was a 60 degree, overcast day, but the s100 hazed extremely fast. It says on the instructions that it's okay to let it fully haze, but if you do, you have to scrub to get it off. Even wiping on a 1 sq. ft. area and wiping it right off, it still took a lot of work. When I was done, the hood looked good, but I didn't feel it was worth the extra work over zymol. As far as appearance, the s100 did give a 'deeper' shine and brought out the subtlties of the Orion blue better than zymol, but the zymol was brighter and gave a sharper reflection. So for now, I'm sticking with the zymol and giving the s100 to a friend for his Ducati- I think it would be great for a bike where there isn't as much surface area.
