OK, this may sound dumb but how do you properly wax your car? I mean, do anyone has an article on how to properly wax a car? I don't need a zaino article, just a normal wax ie, meguiras, etc.

different waxes require different methods. for example, blitz needs to dry 20 mins before buffing off, whereas p21s needs to be buffed off immediately after applying it to a panel.
but in general you should first thoroughly wash your car b4 waxing. apply wax in front to back motions as air would flow over your car. use a foam pad. don't use too much wax. just enough to cover the surface. buff off with a quality cotton towel or MF towel in front to back motions.

Some basic "rules" are: wash car first to remove any dirt; don't wax in heat or direct sun; apply in straight lines (not circular) to minimize appearance of any light scratches; buff to a brilliant shine
Some other board members have written lengthy methodologies -- some like to clean the finish first with "Dawn" dish detergent to remove all old wax first...
Edit: Didn't see David N's reply when entering mine!
BTW, I use Blitz and I don't think it has to wait 20 minutes -- I don't remember that instruction. Usually I buff it off after just a few minutes...

nice infos. See, I though you have to do a circular motion for waxes. My meguiras doesn't give detailed instructions (from what I remember anyway) about the basic things you need to know about waxing. Anyway, how much would it cost to get my car detailed in a detail shop. Standard procedure.
