The following are the must haves:

Z-1 SHOW CAR POLISH LOK PRE-CLEANER AND GLOSS CONDITIONER

Z-2 SHOW CAR POLISH FOR CLEAR COATED FINISHES

Z-5 POLISH FOR SWIRL MARKS & FINE SCRATCHES

Z-6 ULTRA CLEAN "GLOSS ENHANCER" SPRAY

Z-7 SHOW CAR WASH

Nice to haves:

Z-12 CLEAR-VIEW GLASS POLISH

Z-14 PLASTIC-MAGIC CLEANER & POLISH

Z-16 PERFECT TIRE GLOSS

Only if you need it:

Z-18 ClayBar

Don't bother, there are better things:

#314 CUSTOM 4x5 POLISH APPLICATOR

Z-9 'LEATHER SOFT' SPRAY CLEANER

Z-10 "LEATHER IN A BOTTLE" TREATMENT AND CONDITIONER

Thanks for the help.

Since I'm getting 4 clearcoats put on my car I will definatly want to use Zaino's products. I can only imagine the shine it will give me. I plan to take a whole saturday and devote it to "car wash day"

I got Z1 and Z2. Haven't used it yet (too cold).

Any tips or tricks that aren't on the Zaino website?

Use Z-6 between coats of Z-2, but I think that is on the web page. Keep the Z-6 in the car along with a microfiber towel or two to clean up bird droppings and tree sap.

I strongly suggest getting ZFX instead of Z1. Z dries faster and back to back layering of up to 3 coats in a single day can be done. Without ZFX, additional coat is only possible AFTER 6 hours if the temperature is over 70 degrees, or after 24 hours if temperature is less than 70 degrees because Z needs time to cure. ZFX accelerates the curing time!

Ditto on the ZFX. I used it about 2 weeks ago and was able to do three coats in a very short time. I happened to combine it with Z-5 since I had begun to notice some swirls. Came out GREAT! We were gone for the last week and a half and my Coupe still glistened when we got back, despite all the rain.

The Zaino website is vague is some areas. Can you explain how much ZFX you get and how you use it? The order page says it costs $20 for 2mL, which cannot be true! Also, does this mean you do not have to use Z-1? I thought Z-1 was required to precondition the paint.

That is correct, You get a SMALL vial of ZFX. A few drops goes a LONG way (You mix a few drops of ZFX with some Z-2 or Z-5 in some plastic bottles that come with the ZFX system..... ZFX replaces the need to use Z-1 ...

Just like Awiner said.... You use 4-5 drops of ZFX per 1OZ of Z2 or Z5. That 2mL of ZFX should treat 16oz of Z2 or Z5.
