How to clean glass?

What do you guys do to clean your glass? I tried using windex, and applying it to a towel, applying it to the glass, then wiping it clean with another towel.

It worked ok, but not great, especially on the rainx surface (windshield).

I'm in agreement with Stoners Invisible Glass, but I guess I'm not a purist, I'll use any section of a newspaper

(just beware of the printers ink on your hands; light coloured fabric seats + ink

You can get Stoners at Kragen, and I believe maybe even Target and K-mart. Shouldn't be tough to find. It comes in a spray can.

Why newspaper? Cause it's cheap, takes care of 2 of the 3 R's (Reuse, Recycle, Renew), and doesn't streak.

Eagle 1 20/20 works well and should be available in most auto parts stores.

I haven't really taken good care of my windows. I'm going to give the car a through cleaning tomorrow, so i'll take a look if theres some residue. But I don't have the heater nor ac on too much.

Windows are always my last priority for some reason...

~One man’s opinion~

~Hope this helps~

My window cleaning method;

Outside glass -wipe glass with a damp waffle weave towel, apply Autoglym Car Glass Polish, wipe of residue with a Microfiber (glass type) cloth, and polish with a clean dry 100% cotton Microfiber cloth.

Inside glass - wipe glass with a damp waffle weave towel, apply Stoners Invisible Glass to 100% cotton Microfiber cloth (it will dry streak-free and shining)

For the rear window I use a Glass Master from Groit’s Garage( it has two swivel paddle heads that fit on to a handle and comes with three bonnets, terry, Microfiber, scrub. This allows access to sloped rear window glass) to apply the Stoners.
