lol ok, maybe it does not look like that kind of *** groove, but it looks as if the stuff underneath the leather has been squished, or pushed around. I will post pics tommorrow.

I think the foam below the seats starts to "settle" which then causes the leather to become less "taught" and also start to develop wrinkles....

I don't think there is anyway around this other than replacing the seating foam.

I have noticed this with many cars especially ones that don't usually have a passenger in the seat....

It's an old man thing to do, but if you would use a cushion, it would help distribute the weight more evenly and that would help. However, now that the damage has been done it may not recover.

It's not the fault of the leather it's the foam.

But anyway, who really cares! It's a seat and it's meant to be sat on. Maybe you could create some sort of trapeze that would allow you to not actually rest your weight on the seat cushion but on the trapeze. But then you would have the problem of where to attach the trapeze to your car.

I'm glad you posted this. Next time I go to buy a new mb, I will get in and then say, "No, not this one, it's great but it's already developed an *** groove. It must have been sitting here way too long"

Sweet rides man! How do you like the SUV? I almost opted for one, but chose the CLK instead. It's among the top on my list for the future though!
PM or e-mail me the pro's and con's of it. I haven't talked to anyone who ownes one yet.
