Xpel Clear Bra Verification

Greetings,

I have installed Xpel paint protection film on my car on the entire car, at least that's what I was told by the shop that installed it. However, I have brought the car to some other detail shops for car wash, and many times they said to me "that does not look like Xpel" by different shops. That makes me worried whether the film on my car is Xpel or not. I guess my question is, is there a way to verify a film is Xpel for sure? Thanks.

I have had Xpel installed on the front of my '16 S550 coupe - at least it is supposed to be Xpel. I have not had any issues with it. But I don't know how to verify that it is in fact Xpel other than to take the installer's word for it. There is no logo on the vinyl film. I did get a 10 year warranty which I hope that I never have to use.

Thank for replying. Yeah like you said, seems like there is no way to verify it ourselves. This got my attention because people who told me the film on my car doesn't look like Xpel, are experts that working in auto detailing industry and have seen many different brands' films. They said the material of my film looks weird and has different reflection than a typical Xpel film...

My PPF reflection is just like the paint next to it. Visually there is no difference from the paint. There is a slightly smoother feel to it compared to the paint.

Before starting a thread for this I thought I would search for it and found it. I’m going Friday to get Xpel....partial 22 inches up the hood and halfway up the fenders .....the front bumper painted surfaces. We plan to keep the car .....7 yrs/100k. ...$900 total.... well spent insurance i hope. He is doing the 4 doors cup insert and the back painted bumper strip

I opted to only cover the front up to the edge of the hood and to the fender seams as I didn't care for the visible line that is visible if you carry it out to mid-panel.
So on my S550 Coupe you can't tell that the PPF is there except by touch. I also had the headlights covered and the PPF on them is also invisible to the naked eye.
Personal choice I guess.

I read somewhere that because of the LED lights giving off heat coupled with our Arizona summer heat that it is NOT recommended to apply the Xpel to the acrylic headlight covers. Has anyone had any issues after applying Xpel to the headlights?

So far no issues for me in Southern California. I hope that it doesn't become an issue for me. In fact, the shop that installed my PPF suggested it as they said many of their customers installed it on the headlights to help prevent little stone chips in the acrylic. It didn't cost me more than the basic installation without it.

Can barely see the line, very nice install....all painted surface of front bumper, 18 inches up hood, half fenders, back of mirrors, all 4 door cup ring protection, all door edges, and back bumper...looks great, 10 year discoloration or scratches warranty. I will post more outside later.
