~One mans opinion / observations~

Q: I just bought the mother's California wax and just wanted to make sure... use it as the instructions say right? And is it safe on clear coats? Anything special I need to know?
A: It’s a Carnauba wax and it is ‘safe’ for use on clear coat paint systems.

Q: Is it safe to use with a regular car-drying towel to apply? I can’t find anything to apply it/
A: This is not a trick question right? (2000 odd posts and these are your questions, just seems odd to me that’s all)

You could use a drying towel but a purpose made applicator (foam) would be much more suitable…

~Hope this helps~

Pointman- I didn't mean the comments to be offensive, they just seemed to me odd questions from someone with detailing experience that was all. Your explanation was more then good enough
Cheers

I don’t have any experience with Mothers California wax.
a) But Zanio is a polymer sealant; (b) Mothers California wax is a carnauba wax.

Polymer and Carnauba differences:
a)Polymer sealant comprises an open linked molecule; these open linked polymer molecules join together to create a mesh like effect. Polymer sealants also have greater life expectancy and a much higher melting point (350oF +) than a Carnauba wax

c)Carnauba wax molecules form an egg-grate type mesh over the smaller paint molecules of the paint film surface, which gives it an optical depth. Carnauba Wax melts at 180oF and evaporates / erodes over time (dependant upon ambient temperatures and climatic conditions) which limits its durability. As a general rule-of-thumb: 50% after 30 days, 75% is gone after 60 days and after 90 days it should be reapplied In actual practice higher temperatures frequently leads to melting of the wax compounds. For example, painted surfaces exposed to ambient temperatures of 85 degrees F in direct sunlight, will rise up to a temperature of 195 degrees or more.

You can't get Zaino??? why not? Sal won't ship to AUS?

Tell you what, tell me what you want, I'll price it out and figure out shipping to you in Aus. Then I'll add 10% for my efforts. You send the USD, and I'll order it from Sal, then turn around and send it to you.

Deal?
