Eagle One A2Z Wheel Cleaner

I just bought this stuff today to try it out (I think Ali recommended it a while back) and washed my car.

The wheels came out awsome, so clean it was shiny I use to just use some soap and water from the left over soap after cleaning the car to clean the wheels and it did the job but this stuff really cuts through the build up and brings back the shine of the wheels.

I recommend

anyone else try this stuff?

I've been using this stuff for about a year now, after it was written up in Sport Compact Car. I absolutely love it and recommend it to everyone.

It's my favorite. It also cleans the tires very well... if there is oxidation on the tire, you will see brownish stuff wash off. Nothing else I've tried works as well and is gentle to the paint on wheels. I do wax the inside of the wheels. I stock up on this stuff when it goes on sale for 4 bucks.

Is this stuff better than Meguiar's "Hot Rims or Wheels" (the pink color bottle stuff)?

I want to change something different and effective. Can this Eagle One able to cut heavy brake dust? Usually, I have to use car shampoo to double clean the wheels.

This is the best stuff i've used for cutting through THICK brake dust. I just spray the entire wheel, let it sit for about 20-30 seconds then lightly scrub with a sponge and it blasts right off with water. If you have light brake dust, just spray, wait and hose off.

Just read some articles regarding this product. They said it would be better to use once for every 2 months. Otherwise, the rims surfaces will get dull.

Does it mean this stuff is so strong and it could not be used for weekly or daily purpose?

I'm gonna buy some of thath stuff!!

I wonder if it works to get rid of break dust that's baked on the wheel? I've used soap and water, scrubing as hard as I could to try and get my friends rims clean to no avail!!

The black bottle is "Chrome & Wire Wheel Cleaner"... the A2Z stuff is in the orange bottle.

They're probably close to being the same, but the black bottle stuff says that it has "special cleaning agents" for chrome-plated stuff... and that it shouldn't be used on cadmium-plated stuff like factory wire wheels on motorcycles.

Wheel Wax

Have any of y'all tried Wheel Wax? I bought it from properautocare.com. How does it compare to Eagle One A2Z? I tried Wheel Wax for the first time on my MB yesterday. It made my wheels glow! And they are incredibly soft to the touch now. I'm really happy with the results, but want to give A2Z a go to see how it compares.

Eagle One A2Z is a cleaner for the wheels (for brake dusts) and the Wheel Wax is the polishing and protecting compounds for the wheels. They are two different products.

Wheel Wax

Wheel Wax is marketed as a cleaner as well as a protectant by several vendors, and in fact, it did a great job at cleaning up several tough spots of embedded brake dust on my wheels. What I want to know is whether I should bother using Eagle One as a cleaner when Wheel Wax does such a good cleaning job already? I guess I'll just have to get some Eagle One and compare its cleaning abilities with Wheel Wax.

Wheel Wax

You don't use the wheel wax on wheels with loose brake dust. First you wash your car and your wheels. You then can use the wheel wax to clean any tough stuff that didn't come off with a shampoo-and-water wash. I've been using it for several months now and my wheels continue to look fantastic--not a scratch can be seen (even with a hand lens). And another benefit of the wheel wax is my wheels seem to stay cleaner longer. (I guess that comes from the "wax" part of the wheel wax.)

I wash my car about once a week so heavy brake dust is not a problem and using car wash shampoo after washing the car easily removes the stuff. The only time there is a problem is if tire shine gets on the rim and mixes with brake dust...it makes a sticky black, smeary film that's a pain but the soap still takes care of it. I'm not too sure I would be using anything stronger than soap especially since paint/clearcoats are water based and not as durable as they once were. Try using Eagle One's Wax As You Dry with every wash, its so easy just spray on the car while it's wet then dry and your car will always have that slippery smooth just waxed feel PLUS it works great on the rims giving an extra wax coating which helps keep the dust from sticking as much.
