Which is better in terms of reliability and power?
It always started and when it was the coldest in the winter, down in the forties in the garage on
the coldest mornings, it would always start up right away and within seconds, those
cylinders with the bad glow plugs would light off on their own from compression.
I saw no need to have it fixed as it always started although it
wasn't the smoothest running motor for a couple of seconds.
If it ain't broke, why fix it?

several hundred dollars on something that I did not consider to be necessary to make it
run a little smoother during the first couple of seconds.
