Performace Turbos for 300sd

Any recomendations on aftermarket performance turbos for my 300sd. It's pretty much stock right now but im looking in to upgrading parts for better performance. What turbo options do i have, im not looking to make it a drag racer, just more power and more boost. Im also going to be doing all the work myself so ease of install is a concern.

Thanks

Sorry to be off-topic, but do you have any pics of your SD?

The stock Garrett you have is good up to about 180hp and 15psi of boost (All that you will get from the stock injection pump). Look to upgrading the compressor wheel with a 50 or 55 trim wheel from a 300SDL or a 60 trim from a 2.3L Mustang SVO instead of the entire turbo.

Look into this forum: http://schumanautomotive.com/forums/...splay.php?f=19

Oh, and get rid of that Lovecr@p "conversion" and "cold air" intake.

Yeah I was thinking about uprading the compressor wheel. If I change the wheel would the turbo need to be repalanced?

Thanks

Nope. They are balanced independently, not together.
