Anybody know if it is possible to mount a power seat frame from an SD in to an 83 300D? Current seat is like new, but range of adjustment is limited for me. Can the seat in my 300d be mounted on a power seat track from an S class and then bolted right in to the existing mounting holes in my car?

I'm pretty sure the track width is different but the rails can be swapped to work.

I've seen it done in a different forum, so I know it can be done.

Would you know of any place on the web where there might be a "how to" from one who has done that? I am thinking that there appear to be 4 bolts that hold on the seat to the actual frame. If those attach points happen to line up with those of the 300D seat, great. The only other thing that has to be accomodated is the seat frame mounting to the floor pan. I guess there is where you are saying the swap can be done. Or am I not getting this?
