Just as the title says... How much boost do the new cdi motors make?
Has anyone hooked a boost guage an verified?
Does anyone know what kind of EGT's these motors run at full tilt?
Just wondering how conservative the factory tune is. (or how much is left on the table)

Yes, pretty conservative, like would be expected of a Mercedes-Benz engine.

Still, that's higher than I thought it would be. I was thinking it was around 20psi.

How about the Sprinter's 2.7L engine, what is the boost on it?

2bar or 29.4 lbs. is fairly high (stock). I also am suprised that it is that high. I is a small motor though so they must need the boost to make the #'s. I am sure it will be a little while but I would love to stick a fueling computer on this thing and up the boost. I imagine that 275-290 hp / 500-550 lb/ft wouldn't be too hard to achieve.
I would love an outlook monitor now on the vehicle to see all the sensors. I would love to watch in realtime the EGT's, Boost, Trans temps etc.
Anyone know of a way to see these #s without going the route of installing mechanical sending units, are there sensors on this vehicle that one could intercept thru the OBD ports or something like they do on 3/4ton domestic diesels?
