Anyone put a glass pack on their car?

My muffler cracked off this weekend. Since money has been tight my local exhaust shop recommended a glass pack. Man is it loud. Not as loud as it was without the muffler, but definitely something you notice especially in underground parking garages. Idle seems to be the worst for the <boom>. Once underway I hardly hear it and on the highway don't notice it at all.

I think I'm going to see if I can get a resonator put in behind the cat to quiet things down.

Be sure to get the cigar-smoking woodpecker decal often associated with "glasspacks."

A glass pack of any brand is a complete waste of money on a diesel. It will quickly plug with soot and become a plain straight pipe.
